Hilda is the principal and founder of HW Legal. She qualified in 2013 and has an array of experience from several areas of law, which equips and bolster’s her client’s cases by using relevant legal principles from differing practice areas.

 

Hilda has single handedly grown the firm from a freelance business to a registered legal company with employees, paralegals and consultants. Her genuine passion for supporting clients was the premise for establishing her own law firm which has benefit from repeated client referrals, recommendations and outstanding reviews.

 

She has worked previously within boutique firms, magic circle and inhouse at Government legal teams. This spread of legal experience amplifies her ability to relate to an array of clients from all walks of life, with the unyielding drive to succeed for them all, equally. Hilda’s specialism is Family Law, with her abilities going beyond that singular area of law.

 

Alongside her legal capabilities, Hilda has owned and run several business, within the entertainment, property, skincare and dental worlds. Her understanding of the entrepreneurial and commercial industry lends itself to exemplifying her client support in commercial and business matters.

 

Alongside having a family, Hilda enjoys traveling, coaching Netball and salsa dancing.

Zagam is a Partner in the Family Law Department, and he specialises in the financial aspects of divorce and separation matters.

His practice particularly focuses on High-Net-Worth Clients, entrepreneurs, captains of industry and those from notable professions. He is particularly renowned for acting on complicated matters, such as those involving significant business assets, foreign jurisdictional issues, trusts and other complex financial separation intricacies.

​

Zagam’s ethos is always to resolve disputes amicably however, where this is not possible, Zagam draws upon his industry experience to robustly advance his client’s interests.

​

In addition to being a Solicitor, Zagam is also dual qualified as a Licence Conveyancer, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of property and linked land matters, which has proven key to clients in resolving matters involving the matrimonial home, property portfolios, foreign properties and other property based assets in contention. 

​

Prior to working in family law, Zagam spent over a decade working in industry for banks, law firms and property developers, providing him with significant commercial knowledge and experience which he brings to the fore, when acting for clients in matrimonial finance proceedings. 

​

A graduate of the University of Liverpool, in his free time Zagam enjoys holidays and spending time in Portugal, having taken in its culture and climate. 

Sulayman is a Paralegal in the Family Law Department, with experience spanning domestic abuse, private children and matrimonial finance matters.

​

Throughout his career, he has worked extensively on family law cases, assisting individuals facing some of the most difficult circumstances of their lives. He has considerable experience preparing and progressing applications for non-molestation orders, occupation orders, child arrangements orders and other family law remedies. Having represented clients at hearings and managed matters from inception through to conclusion, Sulayman combines practical advocacy experience with a detailed understanding of family court procedure.

His work regularly involves preparing witness statements, court applications, bundles and supporting evidence, as well as working closely with counsel, courts and other professionals to ensure matters are progressed efficiently and effectively. He has particular experience in cases involving allegations of domestic abuse, safeguarding concerns and disputes concerning children.

​

Alongside his legal practice, Sulayman serves in the British Army Reserves. The discipline and resilience developed through military service have strengthened his ability to perform under pressure and support clients through demanding and often emotionally charged proceedings.

​

Before entering the legal profession, Sulayman spent a number of years studying Islamic theology and traditional Islamic sciences. This background fostered a strong interest in ethics, reasoning and advocacy, which continues to influence his professional approach today.

​

Sulayman has completed his degree in Classics at Durham University. Outside of work, he enjoys travelling, studying military history and exploring the literature, philosophy and history of the ancient world

Obaid Bin-Nasir is a Consultant Solicitor at HW Legal, advising on commercial, media and litigation matters.

​

He brings experience from both private practice and senior in-house roles. His background includes working with fast-growing electrical engineering businesses, an electrical engineering trade association and a global engineering consultancy. Before moving in-house, Obaid worked in private practice at international City law firms such as Trowers & Hamlins and Simmons & Simmons.

​

Drawing on this combination of legal and commercial experience, Obaid provides practical, business-focused advice with a clear understanding of the operational realities facing clients.

Asher works across all areas of employment law advising both businesses and employees, but specialises in dispute resolution, settlement negotiations and all forms of employment litigation. He has extensive experience in both preparing and defending complex Employment Tribunal litigation, most commonly claims for unfair dismissal, all forms of discrimination, as well as contractual disputes relating to employee benefits. He is also an expert in redundancy procedure, advising both employees of their rights and employers on sound procedure. He also has significant experience of advising businesses on their employee relations, contract and policy drafting as well as advising on TUPE implications for employers.

His experience advising across a broad range of workplace matters has given him a clear understanding of the commercial and practical considerations facing employers, while reinforcing his commitment to ensuring that individuals have access to the same calibre of legal advice and representation traditionally available to well-resourced employers. He is particularly passionate about achieving fairness and parity for his individual clients, ensuring that they are able to navigate workplace disputes on an equal footing.

Prior to taking up his role as Lead Employment Counsel, Asher gained experience at leading City and international law firms including Dentons, GQ Littler and Mishcon de Reya.
