Freehold and leasehold business sales & purchases

Whether the property is freehold or leasehold, our commercial team has the ability and the experience to act in these commercial transactions.

We would recommend that we are instructed at an early stage to review the title and to ensure that the property is adequately prepared for sale.  We can deal with complex title issues, unwanted occupiers, planning issues and any other restrictions that may prevent or hinder a sale in order to maximise value.  We also have acted on behalf of a number of different financial institutions and are therefore able to advise as to issues of concern which may be relevant to funding. 

In relation to leasehold properties, we will obtain all necessary consents to the transaction and can advise on restrictions as to further use or development.  We can also advise generally on complex issues such as VAT and the apportionment of price to maximise fiscal advantages.

An experienced solicitor is invaluable when dealing with the sale or purchase of a business.
